‘Orwellian nightmare’

Yes - a man (just happens to be Fireman Sam creator) quips about woman wearing a burka and is arrested as a racist.

So is the Emporer Wearing clothes?

In this age of CCTV and Face recognition Software WE are tracked everywhere? Aren't we - yet should we claim to be Muslim and wear a Burka we can hide our identity and travel anywhere with impunity? Am i right?

Surely these people in our society who choose to cover themselves are undermining our rights and freedoms. The rest of us who have traditionally moved around freely and visibly are now teetering on the edge of criminality to dare suggest that we hide our identity with a scarf? But there are others who claim to be observing their religious faith are allowed to mock the same laws that we observe.

I ask who is running this asylum? Surely we are allowing potentially any number of subversive terrorists to flout our laws and move among us with immunity. How dare we be so naive to believe that under the headdress is a simple woman observing her righteous religious dictats?

How foolish.

At the same time a middle aged bigot of an Englishman can go on primetime TV and advocate KILLING of strikers in front of their families and yet he is not guilty of anything worse that bad taste in the name of Humour. I ask you - one rule.......?

Gender Disorder in children

~What rubbish - the parents are pandering to the children. They don't know really what "sex" is till they're much older.

Basically bring the children up as children, Girls are girls, boys are boys but if Johnny wants to play with Dolls (Action Man or not) cook/hoover etc why not Equally Jane can have Lego and cars trains guns etc. Its just play.

WE are often sexuallising children at far too young an age. Don't put your 6 year old in a thong but why not let her play topless on the beach. Those silly bikini tops are useless.

Parents they grow up soon enough, don't force anything on them yet.

Student Fees gone mad

Student Fees in the news again.

Why do they bother at all. In my day only the top 20% went to Uni. The rest got jobs or went onto apprenticeships etc. Everyone can't get a degree!

If they must all go to Uni, and I do believe in education, we need to address the 20% that leave school officially unable to read and write!!

Student fees – why ask students to pay back their “loan”? Education benefits everyone and the whole country not just the students. What ever the cost is for students just take it back from higher rate taxpayers by increasing tax, say by 1p on over 30K?

Fuel Poverty

Here we are again - Fuel Poverty - the Government just don't understand it. The poor folk don't have a choice and get the highest tariffs. PREPAID!
The first units are the dearest so on your low income if you cut back you sill pay by far more than anyone else unit for unit/income.

Its just not fair.

The Government could start by removing VAT on the first 1000 units and all prepaid !

Come on David and George play fair - you are taxing ALL the poorest people and those on Benefits.

Quantative Easing

What a scandal about annuities.

If this government is serious about solving the pensions crisis then this must be fixed.

People will never believe in pension if this happens. They pumped billions into the Banks so now they must protect pensions. Ensure our money is safe for the future. The Government must underwrite this and then people will join pension schemes

India - Aid, and Fighter Jets

Why do we give £1billion to India?

If they can afford 140 Fighter jets then they are not short of money.

If they don't want to buy from us then the Government could use the £1billion to 1, help reduce the deficit, and /or 2, use half to keep the Armed forces in Jobs and buy some more equipment for them thus keeping our industry working.

David - keep the £1billion - we can't afford to give it away. Especially not to INDIA.
