this is it - what a simple way to get around the bedroom Tax.
Knock your bedroom walls down!!
Turn your 3 bed in to a 2 bed - SIMPLES.
Problem solved and bigger rooms.
We did it when I was a student. I remember sharing a bedroom. We put the wardrobes down the middle so effectively partitioning off the room.
What stupid sanction by HMG?
Fair enough - only pay so much "Rent" benefit depending on your needs but don't penalise people for having lived in a "X" bedroom [proerty if they have no choice.
This is unfair to expect the poorest to bail out the rest, for Government's mismanagement of the economy while they still et individual Bankers get their obscene large bonuses subsidised by you and me!

What Pension Crisis?
I've said it before there is NO Pension crisis - its all smoke and mirrors. Engineered by the Government to squeeze us to pay off their incompetence. At last with Pensioner Bonds they are attempting to help out the beleaguered savers. In the end we cannot borrow our way out of the crisis. While the Bankers continue to make loads-of-money we are suffering.
If Gordon Brown had not raped the Pension funds in the last Government there would be plenty in the pot to finance industry and pay the pensioners but he's spent our nest egg.
Do I have to explain again how it works.
Let people have a level playing field for their pension savings. The money saved is used now to finance "things" later you will draw your pension. Don't worry unless they raid it again.
At least this is a good idea - long time coming. Next we need to regulate the charges that are levied and the rates of annuities that are paid should be kept within realistic ranges. Not to make Bankers FAT!

Savers are still abandoned
Yes good old HMG launched the Pensioner bonds paying a whopping 4% interest
ABOUT TIME TOO - but Ok if you're 65 plus!
but what about the rest of us? Remember we funded the Banks bales out to the tune of £6000 per person and interest rates plummeted to 1% or less.
If HMG want money to pay for stuff (and they do) "borrrowing" it from us in the form of savings/bonds is ideal they could at least help us out for helping them out (the Banks) saving their bacon but plunging us into recession. It been the worst 5 year in my life don't know about you?
I 've been looking and most savings account pay around 0.5 to 1.5% at best and then you have to lock it away for years.
I despair but what can we do. Nowt will happen.

Austerity - How low can we go
Government is saving money by cutting - cutting benefits, cutting cash to Local Government, cutting Taxes! Oh yes that makes the Rich Richer!
How low can we go - do you need/want your local council services?
My council is considering cutting cleaners.
Taking all waste bins out of offices and putting them in corridors, staff will have to walk out to the corridor to put their banana skins/tea bags whatever in the bin. They'll need less cleaners, less bins to empty and it will be quicker and easier.
Saving money on cleaners. But aren't they the lowest paid? What about waste at the top? Chief officers etc.
This is a rich country but how low can we go to save money so the rich can get richer. Bankers still get their bonuses and who bailed them out a few years ago?

Hunger is Back
I agree that in the 7th richest nation we should not have poverty and hunger but I look at Jack's petition and wonder why the biggest epidemic we are facing is Obesity!
Why are people so FAT? Walk down any street and you see FAT people. You see ads on TV for slimming and endless programmes about FOOD. No wonder we're Fat.
Why do they advertise Alcohol so glamorously - it makes you cool, you drive fast cars (drive and drink?) live the fast life with pretty girls and flash friends all drinking, (responsibly of course). How dare they advertise Alcohol so? Its should be banned.
Anyway back to poverty - why are we giving millions to other countries that can afford to send satellites into space when we have poor here and we are ,cutting benefits because the "country can't afford them?". Another of sCameron's conspiracies?
Yes - nearly 3000 Millionaire Bankers on their bloated bonuses!
HA! they don't live in the real world, a bit of poverty would do them good. After all WE rescued the Banks and its our money. Another case of this reverse Robin Hood Government - robbing the poor to give to the rich.

Energy tax is robbing poor to pay the RICH
Is anyone going to Challenge this Government on why they TAX a basic essential at 5% VAT plus the Green Tax?
Everyone pays these taxes even the unemployed, those on benefits and pensioners plus Bankers and the very rich. IS THAT FAIR?
NO I say.
Wind Farm operators get double the current wholesale price for electricity - paid for out of Green taxes.

Spend it while you can.
No hope for the thrifty.
As I said before used to be you saved up and lived within your means. Not now.
With inflation at 2.8% and savings rates at less then 2% before tax you're losing money fast.
Spend it now before you can't afford the things you want. Or live on borrowed money while its cheap. I think every body is doing but isn't that why we're in this mess?
sCameron and the Osborne Conspiracy don't get it. They are RICH after all and in with the Bankers.

Pensioners now have to support this economic mess by giving up their winter heating
OK Mr Balls take away any final benefits that pensioners have and what have you left? They might as well Q up for euthanasia - that would help wouldn't it? I think it may lose them some votes. I hope so.
Pensioners have worked all their lives and saved for their retirement and if they were good enough have good pensions but now they have to pay it back.
Its bad enough you hardly get any interest on your money. It used to be that Banks and Building societies paid interest to savers to get their cask so they could lend it out. Not any more, a) they don't lend any more just pay themselves big bonuses, b) what they do lend has come from the Government - our taxes at ludicrously cheap rates so why bother with Savers. CRAZY.
Scrapping free bus passes won't save any money. They don't actually cost anything unless you USE them and most wealthy pensioners have cars.

Pensions - sCAmeron up to tricks
So you know when the £140 flat pension comes in? Well we're paying for it.
More news on what the osBorne Conspiracy is really up to.
Those of you like me in Local Government have a "contracted out" pension. WE forego the earnings related bit and thus get a discount on our NI (National Insurance). Well I 've just found out that whe the new pension comes in the Discount is abolished so all of us on "contracted out" pension will face at least a 1.6% rise in our contricbutions and if, like me you've not had a pay rise for 3 years, that'll be another PAY CUT.
More money off the hard working top pay for the Bankers Mess!

Pensions for Every one
Now everyone is to be IN
Don't fight it - its the safest bet for everyone. Those paying in create pots for investment in the economy and those retiring are safe there's enough money for them.
Lets just hope GO and DC sort out the mess over charges and how you "take your pension" with you.
At the end of the day unless its a very good company scheme only the Bankers win - AGAIN
Didn't I say it and now the Daily Mail agrees with me.
The Government MUST regulate these pension schemes and stop the Bankers from getting rich quick on poor people. They are gambling with peoples only hope for the future. They take their whole lives to save any sort of pension, these bankers make that much bonus in 1 year! There must be certainty in pensions and a guarantee that you can take it with you without loss if you move jobs.

Interest Rate Rip Off
Isn't it about time the Government did something to help the honest thrifty people who have propped up this country for years?
I mean the more mature people who were brought up where you "saved up" before you bought anything. Not borrowing to the hilt. We see our savings dwindling now. 2 or 3 percent interest is criminal.
Inflation at 5% means your money is going down. Why save?
We thought we'd save for our future but what future? Surely they should encourage saving because sure as hell there won't be a decent pension! The only borrowing you did was your mortgage and most of us have paid that off now thank God.
We all know who's got the money - the BANKERS.
