Cumbria Crime Commisioner cracking down on Cyber Crime

Reportedly Cyber Criminals are getting into your living room so Cumbria's Police Crime Commissioner is doubling his Cyber Crime budget. good but last year when I reported two attack s of Ransomware on my school last year, all they could do was give me a crime number. Even though I had plenty of evidence to add, not interested. It's only by collecting intelligence and working with our European crime agencies can we tackle the criminals behind it. Remember their attacks over the internet can strike thousands but it only takes a fraction to succumb for it to be worthwhile.
They want you to pay a ransom in Bitcoins, you have to contact them. The website's used were traceable and identifiable. They have to be registered somewhere with IP addresses. They are allocated to countries/organisations, they can be traced. I know they NAT them and use proxies but in my book anyone translating these addresses should be shut down. They'd soon stop allowing it. They need the legitimate business. If they don't block their countries. They'd soon find them and lock them up. Easy.

Privatise the BBC - £1000 bounty to catch dodgers

TV on the Taxpayers? Ludicrous in the 21st Century. Why put people in prison for watching TV. When there are all the alternatives to the BBC - all Private and they can make money WHY do we have to pay the Licence fee? Its a TAX on entertainment.

They could save all the money in the courts hounding people and making criminals out of them and in this time of austerity we can't afford a £145 a year tax. I've had no pay-rise for 5 years yet MPs are to get 10% whether they want it or not.

Privatise the BBC and do away with the Licence fee. Public service TV can be paid for out of levy on all of the TV channel providers SKY can afford  bit.

Prisoners Need Books and Educating

Simon Heffer Mail on Sunday 3rd May advocates educating prisoners as poor education is often behind offending. I agree, also banning books is symptomatic of a Totalitarian Society!

However I go further Why don't we educate everyone to a minimum standard ion schools?

Its obviously too late when they've broken the law and ended up in Prison.

I've always said I was educated enough by 11 yrs to function happily in society, why can't that be done for everyone? Kids that are uneducated are the ones that "hang around" kick their heels and get into trouble.

Investment here would pay dividends for our society in the long run. We don't perpetually want an underclass of criminals do we.

Soft Britain

Most of the time I'm angry that we are soft and criminals get away with waving the "Human Rights" trump card at our courts to stay here. Look at Abu Hamza, how long it took to get rid of him, living here on our benefits whilst vilifying our country and culture. Still we are looking after his family.

Then there are the Criminals who come her and accept our hospitality only to throw it back at us with vile acts against our laws. We may catch them and punish them but then let them stay because they have a "Right to a family life" here. Instead of deporting them. When they broke our laws they gave up their rights haven't they?

Now we have the opposite here. A sensible father is to lose his children because they were not born here. Why can't he claim its his Human right to a family"? ~They want to split them up and send his boys to South Africa
He's not a scrounger he has a job earning a fair wage but deemed "not enough" to stay. So I ask you how do these criminals (Mr Tutt has  not broken the law) exists here on handouts?

CRAZY.

Hamza out! his brood live on state still

Yes at long last we've got rid of Abu Hamza! but I wondered how long it would be before it was realised that we're still supporting his brood at the States expense.

Justice has at last prevailed and the man who claims to detest this country protested fo 8 years that it was unfair to make him leave. All the while his family lived at our expense in a "luxury" home.

I support the Government in its effort to end the "something for nothing culture" - but where these folk are British through and through it does seem crassly unfair that we bend over backwards to support blatant foreign criminals who have come here for shelter and handouts and abuse our hospitality

If refugees are convicted of a criminal offence in this country boot them out immediately, and make their families follow them.

I would still rather fund jobless young people born and bred here than criminals. WE need to give them jobs. What about making benefits conditional on doing some community/voluntary work?

It seems crazy that if you're unemployed and "seeking work" you are NOT allowed to help out in you "free" time doing charity work for NOTHING, because you're not "available for work"! Of course you'd stop immediately and attend an interview and get a job.
