Lets save every household £145
Lets all start watching catch-up TV and ditch the licence. WHy should we have an "entertainment Tax" to fund the BBC? Its appalling we pay £3.5billion for the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and co to earn millions for his tosh. Privatise the BBC I say and lets put the money to use in the NHS?

BBC wastes Taxpayers money
How dare they waste our money, my money on such rubbish.
I don't know how in 21st Century Britain it is allowed that an organisation that answers to no one collects over £3.7billion in taxpayers money and spends it on "ENTERTAINMENT"?
If it was your local Council they would have to answer to the voters. Councils are being squeezed dry yet the BBC can spend all this money on the Likes of Jeremy Clarkson upsetting the Argentinians. Nothing happens.
I don't have any feelings for the Argentinians but i do object to the BBC sending Clarkson over there to upset them. Perhaps second thoughts it was a good idea but only if he STAYED there.
Any way if you agree write to your MP and demand that the Government sells off the BBC.
£3billion pounds is 3% of what the NHS spends and they could do with more money, what would you Rather have, you r cancer treatment or Eastenders? I know I might not get the answer I want but then some folk don't agree with me,
So be it.
Privatise the BBC. Stop this waste. Look at all those screens on behind the news readers no one there, if you Council did that they'd soon get sorted out.
More evidence today to support my stance. THey say that they are "saving money". I know a way to save over £3billion....... Privatise the BBC!

Top Gear starts second Falklands War?
Top gear could have made sensational headlines as above - maybe? Well it seems the Argies aren't happy with Jeremy Clarkson and co who were filming a Top Gear "stunt" there.
Were they aware of possible significance of the number plated Porsche? "oh dear, no" they said - "you bet they were " I SAY.
Heavens sake this is Top Gear they like to court controversy - why does JC work for the BBC? He's nearly been sacked a couple of times but they let him off.
Weather the BBC like TG because they can sell it is one thing, as a Taxpayer funded organisation I say "NO WAY". How on earth is the BBC allowed to do these things? If it was a private company fair enough - they take the consequences, but when you and I are paying for it. In these days of austerity, the Government wants to cut Benefits to make ends meet, how about letting every body be £145 a year better off. Abolish the Licence fee, and Privatise the BBC.
MP John Whittingdale who chairs the Culture and Media committee said that "it was getting harder to sustain the license fee".
Too right when the bloated BBC languishes fat salaries on endless "executives", insane "stars", ridiculous "presenters" (Claudia Winkelman £250,000) and wastes money provoking other countries, do we really expect this on our hard earned money. If even a minute fraction of any of this was done by say your local council (taxpayer funded) or your MP (taxpayer funded) there would out cry "sack them" but this is hte BBC (Taxpayer Funded).
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
News Corporation is still feeling the effects of the "Phone Hacking" scandal - what are the sanctions on the BBC - I think its too much part of the establishment - hence why Jimmy Saville got away with it for so long. Maybe there is change in the air?
They sold off the Post Office, if Sky can be profitable then why not the BBC,? It gets over £3 billion pounds a year to make "entertainment"!! how can this be in 2014?

Clarkson has a foul mouth?
So Jezza has put his foot in it again,? Using a "naughty" word.
Now I'm not a fan of Jeremy Clarkson, he does not amuse me and irritates like mosquito bite but on this occasion I am with him.
What is it with these "Language Police"? Certain words are now banned, they used to be OK but now you can't say them because you might "offend" someone.
For heaven's sake they are only a collection of letters pronounced In a certain way. Where is the offence? Surely it is the context that they are used. Will the Thought-Police ban all words that have other meanings that offend, its like 1984, Newspeak? Rewriting history will be next - the Holocaust never happened? Did William the Conqueror invade us or was he invited?
What about "Bl*ck Labradors" - will they all have to be Euthanized or given another name? "Un-white Labradors". Gosh I'm getting paranoid now - what dare I write - someone may get offended?
Didn't Guy Gibson, Dambuster and War Hero call his dog this "N" name? Now I hear they can't use it in the latest film of the Dam Busters!
Re-writing history has started.
Bah.

Where is Jeremy Clarkson?
Where is JC when you want him?
Now I've not much time for JC - he enjoys upsetting people too much and being a Yorkshire man (like me) he gives us a poor reputation. WE aren't all loud mouthed bigots - any way to the point.
Today I am ANGRY - why you ask?
Surface Dressing! It is the season of chipped paint and cracked windscreens.
What annoys me is the stupid other drivers with no brains. The signs say 20 mph!! Why do you think ? because the loose chippings fly everywhere and crack windscreens and chip paint. So the numpties ignore them and because you are good and go slow they fly by spraying you in stones.
So, no explanation except they are brainless and/or driving a company car and don't care.
They should be (to quote Jeremy) SHOT!
Some blame lies on the Highways - we all hate pot holes and they are trying - since the Surface Dressing does help to maintain roads, but they should not do it on "A" roads. They don't do it on Motorways do they and I've seen some horrendous potholes on Motorways.
Also they don't take the signs away weeks after its done, so the can't blame the dim-wits for speeding. If the blatantly it was done weeks ago what's the point. Anyway where are the police to catch these anti-social careless drivers. I don't think we have Highway Patrols any more anyway.
Rant over - now I feel better.

Peugeot 208 - Jeremy Clarkson
I don't normally like Jeremy Clarkson, despite him coming from near my home town Doncaster.
I know he's opinionated (so am I) and he does it for publicity (I don't like that), but his article in yesterdays Sunday Times rang true to me. He talked about building his HiFi, I did so too.
When I was at Uni in the late '70's I banked my Grant Cheque and thought "what could I buy now I have money?". No thought of how I could live for the next 3 months. £200 seemed like I'd won the lottery. Any way sense prevailed and I managed. I listened to my "mono" Pye, radio cassette recorder and even rigged up an external speaker, which I built myself from an old quality radio speaker and built its case myself from thick plywood, to supplement the sound quality via the "ext" socket. Remember those days you had a choice of Mono or Stereo LPs. Stereo was the Blu-Ray of the day.
Any way as time passed I realised that decent sound was an essential for student life holed up in my hall of residence "cell". So I formed a plan. First some speakers - a Wharfedale kit! I got them and over the summer hols built the cabinets myself from "chipboard" . I connected them to the home "stereo" and vastly improved the sound quality of the "bush" radio-gram.
In the 3rd year I planned to buy an amp and a deck, for my flat So there it began. My hi-fi system. Pioneer PL514 belt drive deck, Sure M75ED cartridge, Trio amp, (30 watts RMS per channel). I took back my Wharfedale speakers and left the Bush back with the original speakers.
Now I could sit back and listen to my Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Roxy Music and Simon and Garfunkel LPs in glorious stereo HiFi. With little rumble or hiss, or Wow and Flutter. This was all essential in the 70's.
Next I added a tape deck, Sharp. Metal capable of course.
This system has followed us around (through my marraige and various homes) like our "first child". It was years before I added the always wanted, Tuner (Denon). Then in the 90's CD's were dominant and so a CD player had to be added, Technics. Funny there are only so many "phono" plug sockets built into the Trio amp, but it does the job - enough is OK.
Then at our 25th wedding anniversary. Disaster. After great night something was wrong - the sound was gone. Luckily not the amp but the old faithful Wharfedales had blown. So they were replaced with some 100watt Missions. My, how technology has changed. A new life in the old system. Maybe we'll get another 25years?
Oh, and by the way I like the Peugeot 206 best Jeremy.
